EARTH - the near future. A cataclysmic meteor strike has changed the geographical face of our planet beyond recognition... But this was no accident…

Our planet has been targeted by MALEVOR, an evil tyrant who has been studying the Earth for some time and has been completely obsessed by the game of Soccer, watching from afar as it has steadily captivated the entire globe.

Desperate to have control of this global Soccer phenomenon, MALEVOR sends down a slave in a sphere as an advance party. It was the crash landing of this sphere that caused the catastrophe.

Now he has laid down a challenge to the world. Unless a team can be found here on Earth to defeat MALEVOR's own side, our world and much of the Galaxy will be destroyed. Such a team must first prove themselves to be the greatest on the planet and so countless thousands of teams from every region of the new Earth come forward to begin the quest.

One such team are the STARGAMERS. Assembled from every corner that was once our Earth and led by JOSH - a young boy with a gift for telepathy, they are a unique band of multi-national boys and girls, each with their own special talents.

THEIR CHALLENGE - to travel across our new uncharted world to take on and defeat each new opponent.

Opposition will come in many forms - warriors, tribesmen, strange beings from the very depths of the Earth, villains and double-crossers, even sinister Aliens.

THEIR ULTIMATE GOAL - to find THE EQUIDOME, the fabled giant Soccer stadium that is said to lie at the very centre of the new Earth. If they can make it there they will learn the momentous secret of what has happened to our planet, and what really lies in wait for them at the end of their quest.
