JOSH - Striker and Captain of the Stargamers
An inspirational leader whose desire to win knows no limits. Josh is blessed with an amazing gift of telepathy that has brought the whole team together.
Josh is vital to the Stargamers' progress. It is he who has the much sought-after 'Plan' - the map of the New Earth - and it is his intuition that the group will have to rely on in the search for the Equidome.

SACHA - Defence
The strong silent backbone of the Stargamers' defence. Rugged yet methodical, this tough guy can sometimes be a little too serious for his own good. He has "serious" ambitions for Amy's affection too - and an underlying desire to challenge Josh for the leadership.
A battle of wits between the two is bound to ensue along the way.
THE BULL - Defence
Hairy and wild, The Bull is a frightening figure - an enormous bearded giant with amazing strength.
Trapped for thousands of years encased in ice, this Stone Age giant has been awakened to use his staggering physical power to help the team. Despite his appearance, The Bull has a heart of gold - as long as he's on your side!
JUPITER SHAW - Defence
This
rough, tough Afro-American takes no prisoners.
A no-nonsense disciplinarian, she'll have you doing press-ups just for
being late for Dinner! She can be argumentative, but usually with a
twinkle in her eye.
Nothing is more important to her than 'The Game' and when she yells
her catchphrase "Shaw 'nuff", you can bet her opponents will
be left eating the dust!
GLOVES - Goalkeeper
The
Scandinavian superstar whose tall, gangly frame guards the Stargamers
goal. His enormous hands give rise to his obvious nickname.
All is not right about Gloves however - he is being blackmailed by sinister
agents of Malevor, to give away team secrets, thus often hampering the
Stargamers' progress - at times threatening their very existence.
Will Gloves' double-dealing bring about the downfall of the team or will he stay loyal to his friends?
RICK RUBINSTEIN - Striker
It's
hard to imagine a more unlikely Soccer star. Rick is a mathematical
genius - a walking computer, yet he is also a neurotic, angst-ridden
hypochondriac!
If you can catch it, Rick probably already has it, if there's a cure
for something Rick will try it just in case he gets it!
This eccentric, bespectacled buffoon always provides a laugh, though they are usually laughing at him rather than with him. However Rick has a head for goals as well as figures, so he's well worth his place in the team - and that's 100% certain!
MALEVOR
The embodiment of evil. Leader of the Malevolians - a sinister Dark Angel who fears no man. Malevor is a bringer of destruction. This Soccer-mad tyrant is so desperate to control the global game that he is willing to destroy the planet in order to do so. He is full of hatred for all, particularly the Stargamers.
They must steer clear of his clutches at all costs, as Malevor's motives for visiting the Earth will soon become all too clear.
THE CELESTIALS
These
strange, almost mystical beings have secretly landed at the very heart
of the New Earth.
Kindly and benign, they are the very opposite of the evil force that
is Malevor.
It is the Celestials who have constructed The Equidome - the legendary
giant Soccer Stadium at the centre of the planet - the new Equator.
Just who they are, and why they are here to help remains a mystery -
until piece by piece their ultimate purpose is revealed.
ARTEMUS DOGG
Heartless
and selfish, Dogg is a despicable and opportunistic crook. Lured by
Malevor's promise of riches, and a controlling interest in the precious
life- enhancing and energy-sustaining liquid "LIFESHOT", Dogg
will do all he can to sabotage the Stargamers at every turn.
If he can prevent them reaching the Equidome, great treasures and powers
await - or so he believes, as in fact Malevor is just using this unscrupulous
scoundrel.
CRINGELY
Artemus
Dogg's hapless sidekick. A snivelling, grovelling dimwit who is outwitted
time and time again by the Stargamers.
A clueless, hopeless lackey, literally a "Dogg's Body", he
can never get anything right. Poor old Cringely, he secretly admires
the Stargamers, and maybe that's why he doesn't try too hard!
THE ARBITERS
Clad
in their trademark silver suits and dark glasses, and provided by the
mystical Celestials, these white-haired men and women are the rule-keepers,
somehow appearing at every game to see fair play.
Who knows how they find it, but if a challenge is on, The Arbiters will
be there!
Half-human,
half-anything else you could name! A loveable but accident-prone alien
who - unbeknown to him - holds the key to the Stargamers' quest.
Arkandor was in fact a slave sent by the evil Malevor in the very sphere
that all but wiped out the Earth - his navigational error causing the
eventual devastation, as well as triggering his own loss of memory as
to the real reason he was sent to Earth.
It is Arkandor's presence that is crucial to unravelling the mystery of what happened to the Earth, the whole purpose of 'The Game', and the unwitting part he is to play in the battle of good and evil.
His
lightning speed makes him one of the greatest players in the world,
yet by contrast he is an accomplished philosopher.
His pace and agility are balanced by his calm reason and thoughtful
evaluation.
Hide
the mirrors, here comes Luigi - the Italian playboy who's very much
in love... with himself!
Luigi prides himself on his perfect appearance. He doesn't care where
their journey takes them - as long as he looks good along the way!
With
his dazzling trickery, this son of a Brazilian showman is a master of
illusion - both on and off the field.
With his breath-taking ball skills honed on the beautiful beaches of
Rio, Ramon can hold an audience spellbound. If you want a wizard in
every department then Ramon is your man.
Petite,
beautiful and blonde, the former teen movie idol now stars on the Soccer
field. Amy is destined to break hearts all over the globe - and maybe
within the very team itself.
Amy is cute and shy, but knows how to play the guys at their own game
- and that's not just Soccer!
